Lot 375: Blyton, Enid. A Collection of Children's Books including Five Have Plenty of Fun. Various Publishers.
A collection of children’s books primarily featuring the works of Enid Blyton. The group includes a paperback edition of Five Have Plenty of Fun, published under the Knight Books imprint with the knight’s head logo and series number 14. Also present is a hardcover edition of The Adventurous Four, bound in blue publisher’s cloth with titles stamped to the front board. The collection further contains a paperback titled Tales of Adventure, retold by Enid Blyton, and a green-covered volume featuring the text from Antiquity and the number 72. The volumes are in octavo or standard paperback formats.
Condition report:
The collection exhibits visible signs of age and handling. The paperbacks show creasing to the covers, rubbing to the edges, and bumped corners. Five Have Plenty of Fun has a rectangular white sticker affixed to the upper right of the front cover. The hardcover volume of The Adventurous Four is missing its dust jacket, and the cloth binding shows shelf wear and bumping to the spine ends and corners. The green volume shows significant wear to the spine and edges. Internal pages have not been inspected for foxing or ownership inscriptions.
