Lot 321: A Sievert Model 220 Petrol Blowlamp with Original Box
A Swedish-made petrol or benzoline blowlamp manufactured by Sievert, model number 220. The tool features a cylindrical metal fuel tank with a gold-tone finish. It is fitted with a contoured red composite handle and a matching spherical red control knob. The accompanying original cardboard box features a printed label with the manufacturer’s name, model number, and technical specifications including a capacity of 0.4 litres (3/4 pint). A date code on the box label, 2.61, indicates a production date of February 1961. The body of the lamp bears a small orange inventory sticker numbered 321.
Condition report:
The blowlamp is in excellent, near-mint condition with minimal signs of use or age-related tarnish to the finish. The functionality of the tool has not been tested. The original cardboard box is in poor to fair condition, showing significant wear, foxing, tearing, and partial loss to the illustrative label.
