Four contemporary art glass paperweights featuring various internal decorative techniques. The group includes a translucent blue glass paperweight with a central blue core and concentric rings of controlled air bubbles, a technique often referred to as bullicante. Another example features a clear glass body with a dense, silvery-white speckled internal core and controlled air bubbles. A third paperweight contains a dark, textured internal core in deep navy or black with controlled air bubbles, while the final piece shows a subtle green-tinted internal element with scattered air bubbles of varying sizes. All items are of spherical form. No etched signatures, maker’s marks, or factory labels are visible on the surfaces shown. Each item currently bears a temporary orange adhesive auction label marked 266. The designs are characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century studio glass production, resembling works by manufacturers such as Caithness or Murano.
Condition report:
The paperweights appear to be in good overall condition with no significant chips, cracks, or visible repairs. Minor surface-level scratches consistent with age and use may be present. The undersides have not been inspected.
