Lot 265: A Collection of Art Glass Paperweights with Floral and Figurative Motifs
A collection of spherical art glass paperweights, each featuring internal lampworked decoration encased in clear glass. The assortment includes a paperweight with a red and orange stylized flower featuring a dark textured centre; a paperweight with a teal-coloured sea anemone style burst set against white and green swirls with controlled air bubbles; a paperweight containing a yellow multi-petalled rose with green foliage; and a paperweight featuring an orange floral motif with two small butterflies and controlled air bubbles. The construction and motifs are consistent with contemporary glasshouse productions. Each piece bears an orange adhesive label with the handwritten numerals 2, 6, 5. No maker’s marks or signatures are present.
