Lot 199: Two cased flatware sets comprising a silver-plated pastry service and a Wiltshire stainless steel fish service
A set of six silver-plated pastry forks and a Wiltshire stainless steel fish service for six. The pastry forks feature handles with a decorative scrolled border and are presented in a fitted brown case with a cream silk-lined lid and a dark brown velvet-lined base. No maker’s marks are present on these items. The Wiltshire fish service comprises six fish knives and six fish forks. The cutlery is constructed from stainless steel and features plain handles with flared, scalloped ends. The lid lining is printed with the marks Wiltshire, Guaranteed Stainless, and Made in England. This set is housed in a green fabric-covered case with a green silk and velvet-lined interior.
Condition report:
The silver-plated pastry forks exhibit surface tarnishing and wear consistent with age. The Wiltshire fish service appears in good condition with light surface marks from use. Both cases show minor external wear and age-related discolouration to the linings.
