Lot 172: A Collection of approximately twenty-five Miniature Spirit Bottles and Novelty Decanters
A mixed lot comprising approximately twenty-five miniature spirit bottles and novelty ceramic decanters. The collection includes various liqueurs, brandies, and promotional merchandise from the 20th century. Identifiable items include a Cointreau liqueur miniature featuring a gold-toned cap and label marked Aux Quatre Coins Du Monde, and a Torquay 70 Proof Brandy miniature with a circular black and gold label. The lot also contains a John Smith’s brewery novelty figure mounted on a green plastic base. The assortment features various bottle materials and forms, including glass miniatures with red, gold, and white screw caps, stoneware-style flagons, and ceramic novelty figures such as a character in a red cap and a white-glazed figure. One glass bottle features a wire-down swing-top closure. The bottles are primarily 5cl (50ml) in size.
