Lot 23:
A lot comprising two pairs of vintage porro-prism binoculars, each with an associated leather carrying case. The first pair is a compact model featuring black-finished metal bodies with textured grip surfaces. The left prism housing is marked with a white six-pointed star symbol. This instrument is held within a stitched tan leather case featuring a purple felt-lined interior and an integrated leather shoulder strap. The second pair is a larger-format model, also constructed with black-finished metal bodies and textured grips. The central focus adjustment wheel is inscribed with the characters PAT. 1928. This pair includes two tan-coloured protective caps for the objective lenses and is housed in a black leather-covered case with a bright red felt-lined interior, a leather shoulder strap, and a buckle closure.
Both instruments appear physically complete. Optical clarity and mechanical functionality have not been tested. The tan leather case for the compact binoculars has a detached lid. The black leather case for the larger binoculars exhibits surface wear and age-related patina.
