TIMED SALE TO END FRIDAY LAST CHANCE
A collection of black and white photographs, appearing to be silver gelatin prints or high-quality historical reproductions, each presented in a uniform dark wood frame. The frames feature a gilt-effect inner slip and a black mount. The subjects include various historical scenes; one prominent photograph depicts a vessel, likely a racing boat, with the hull bearing the inscription MISS ENGLAND. Another photograph shows a bustling historical street scene with figures in period dress, horse-drawn transport, and traditional English architecture. The frames are constructed with metal hanging loops attached to the reverse or sides. A small white rectangular label is affixed to the edge of one frame, but the text is not legible. No signatures, artist names, or edition numbers are visible on the face of the prints.
Condition report:
The collection is in generally good condition. The prints appear well-preserved behind glass with no visible evidence of foxing, staining, or silver mirroring. The frames show some minor signs of surface wear, including small scuffs and abrasions to the wooden edges and corners consistent with storage and handling (photo 1). The black mounts and gilt inner slips appear intact. No dimensions can be provided as no ruler is present in the photographs.
