A bicolour gemstone cluster ring featuring a central round-cut pale green gemstone. The central stone is claw-set within a white metal daisy-shaped head, surrounded by eight smaller round-cut clear accent stones. The cluster head is mounted on a yellow metal shank with tapering shoulders. The interior of the shank is impressed with several hallmarks and stamps. These include the characters 18 followed by Ct in a rectangular cartouche. There are further impressed marks, including a circular cartouche containing a symbol and a square cartouche with an illegible character, both of which are heavily worn and cannot be read as a specific date or assay office. The ring is accompanied by a small paper slip with handwritten characters reading 18k.
Weight: 2.31g.
Condition report:
The ring is in good overall condition with signs of moderate wear consistent with age. There are fine surface scratches and minor abrasions to the gold shank, visible in photo 2. The central gemstone appears somewhat dull with some surface wear or internal inclusions (photo 1). The white metal setting and claws appear secure. The internal hallmarks are heavily worn and partially illegible (photo 2).
