A vintage three stone diamond ring featuring a two-tone design. The band is constructed from yellow gold, which transitions into a white metal crossover or bypass setting. The central decorative head is set with three round-cut diamonds in white metal grain or illusion settings, arranged diagonally along the curve of the band. The shoulders of the yellow gold band taper and wrap around the central stones in a traditional bypass style. A handwritten adhesive label accompanying the item reads 18k. The interior of the band contains incised marks; a numeral 1 is visible, but the remaining characters are worn and not clearly legible as a complete hallmark or maker’s name. Due to the illegibility of the marks, the metal should be professionally tested to confirm the indicated 18 carat gold fineness.
Weight: 2.28g.
Condition report:
The ring is in good vintage condition with signs of wear consistent with age. The band is slightly misshapen and out of round (photo 1). Surface scratching and minor tarnish are visible across the metal surfaces, particularly concentrated around the white metal settings (photo 2). All three stones appear secure within their grain settings. No chips or fractures are visible to the stones under standard magnification.
