Lot 469: Contemporary Single Folding Rollaway Guest Bed with Integrated Headboard and Slatted Base
A contemporary folding guest bed designed for portability and storage. The frame is constructed from black-painted tubular metal and features a sprung sleeping surface comprising seventeen light-coloured wooden slats, likely birch or beech, which are secured to the frame with black plastic caps. The unit is mounted on four black plastic castor wheels to the underside of the central frame for mobility when folded. Attached to the top of the frame is a rectangular headboard finished in a light wood-effect laminate, which serves as a flat utility surface when the bed is in its closed, vertical position. The lot includes a thick, white fabric-covered foam mattress that is designed to fold within the frame. The mattress casing is a textured white synthetic fabric. No maker’s marks, labels, or branding are visible on the frame or the mattress.
Condition report:
The bed appears in used functional condition. The wood-effect headboard shows visible surface dust and minor debris (photo 1). The mattress fabric displays some ruffling and minor signs of handling consistent with light use (photo 1). The metal frame and folding mechanism appear structurally sound with minor surface scuffs to the paintwork. All wooden slats are present and appear securely attached. The castor wheels show typical signs of contact with the floor but appear intact.
