Lot 368a: Woven Wicker Log or Garden Trolley with Tubular Metal Frame
A large woven wicker trolley featuring a deep, tapered basket body constructed from natural willow osiers. The basket is mounted onto a silver-tone tubular metal frame, which incorporates a continuous U-shaped handle at the top. The cart is supported by two solid black rubber wheels on a single axle at the base. A small white and orange adhesive sticker is present on the upper curve of the handle, but the text is not legible as a manufacturer name. No other marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The wicker shows signs of wear consistent with outdoor or utility use, including several broken and frayed weavers around the upper rim and sides (Photo 1). The tubular metal frame displays surface oxidation, pitting, and general soiling throughout (Photo 1). The handle shows significant wear and darkening to the grip area. The wheels appear intact but show surface dirt and scuffing (Photo 1).
