Lot 369: Masterplug 30 Metre 13 Amp Two Socket Portable Cable Reel
A portable extension cable reel featuring a blue circular plastic housing mounted on a grey galvanised tubular steel frame. The unit is equipped with a black plastic carrying handle and a matching winding knob. The centre of the reel features a circular black faceplate containing two integrated UK-style 3-pin power sockets. The cable is a blue flexible three-core cord. The central faceplate features a white printed brand mark for Masterplug alongside a stylized ‘M’ logo within a square. The printed text on the faceplate reads: MASTERPLUG, 30 METRE CABLE REEL, 13 AMP 240V ~, 2 SOCKETS. A block of printed text provides a WARNING regarding maximum load capacities when fully unrolled and coiled, alongside a printed CE mark. A small white rectangular adhesive label is visible on the side of the handle grip, bearing the hand-written numerals 17 and 11.
Condition report:
The item is in used, industrial condition. Significant surface soiling, dust, and grime are visible across the blue plastic housing and the black faceplate (photo 1). The galvanised steel frame exhibits signs of oxidation and surface rust, particularly along the lower ground-contact rails and joints (photo 1). The black plastic handle and winding knob show surface wear and abrasions consistent with frequent use. The blue cable shows surface dirt but remains wound on the reel; the unit has not been electrically tested.
