Lot 363: Alders Mohair Bears Jointed Teddy Bear
A five-way jointed teddy bear constructed from beige mohair plush. The bear features dark black plastic or glass eyes and a hand-stitched nose and mouth in black yarn. The limbs and head are fully articulated, allowing for various posing positions. The four paw and foot pads are finished in a contrasting tan-coloured felt. A small blue fabric label is sewn into the seam of the body, featuring a yellow cursive script reading Alders and horizontal yellow capital letters reading MOHAIR BEARS alongside a small yellow graphic icon of a teddy bear. A single black thread is present on the central chest area.
Condition report:
The mohair plush shows general matting and surface wear consistent with handling, particularly visible on the head and torso (photo 1). A small loose black thread is visible on the upper chest (photo 1). The felt paw pads show light surface pilling (photo 1). The manufacturer label remains securely attached and the text is clearly legible (photo 2). The bear is structurally sound with all joints functioning correctly.
