Lot 362: A jointed mohair teddy bear in dusty rose
A traditional collector-style teddy bear constructed with a long-pile mohair plush in a dusty rose or salmon pink hue. The bear features five-way articulation with joints at the neck, shoulders, and hips, allowing for varied posing. The muzzle is finished in a shorter pile, contrasting with the shaggy texture of the main body, and features a hand-stitched nose and mouth in black thread. The eyes are two black glass or plastic beads. The paw pads on the hands and feet are made from a woven tan fabric. No maker’s marks, labels, or tags are present on the body or within the ears.
Condition report:
The bear is in good, clean condition. The mohair plush remains full across the body, showing only minor matting consistent with handling (photo 1). The hand-stitched facial features are intact. The woven fabric on the paw pads is free from tears or significant fraying. The internal joints are functional and hold their positions.
