Lot 361: Boyds Bears For The Collector Jointed Plush Teddy Bear
A jointed teddy bear from the Boyds Bears For The Collector product line. The bear is constructed from charcoal grey textured plush fur with a light brown fabric muzzle. The nose and mouth are hand-stitched with brown thread, and the eyes are small dark beads. The limbs and head are jointed, allowing for varied posing. The foot pads are finished in a light brown sueded fabric. A black fabric ribbon label is sewn vertically across the sole of the right foot (photo 2), featuring gold-coloured cursive embroidery reading Boyds Bears For The Collector bordered by gold-coloured stripes. A small orange adhesive price sticker is present on the same foot pad, partially obscuring the lower portion of the ribbon label.
Condition report:
The bear is in good overall condition with no visible tears or repairs. The plush fur shows some surface dust and several loose stray white fibres and hairs caught within the pile (photo 1). The hand-stitched nose has a few slightly loose threads (photo 1). The embroidered ribbon label on the foot pad shows slight fraying at the edges where it is joined to the sueded fabric (photo 2). An orange adhesive inventory sticker is affixed to the right foot pad (photo 2).
