Lot 119: Three Nao by Lladro Glazed Porcelain Figurines of Elegant Ladies
A trio of Spanish handmade glazed porcelain figurines featuring young women in period dress. The figures are finished in a soft pastel palette of lavender, pale blue, white, and grey with a high-gloss glaze. The first figure depicts a lady in a lavender dress with a ruffled collar and bow accents, holding a folded white fan and a small clutch. The second figure portrays a woman in a light blue dress with a wide-brimmed white bonnet, posed with hands on her hips. The third figure shows a lady in a white and grey dress wearing a wide-brimmed hat and holding a single long-stemmed flower. The underside of one base features a printed mark in brown ink consisting of a stylized NAO logo above the text HAND MADE IN SPAIN by LLADRO and a copyright notice reading © DAISA 1980. To the left of this text is a square logo containing a stylized sailing ship. The base also bears several incised characters including B-10 JU, a numeral 4, a numeral 3, and a character resembling a K. A small circular firing hole is present in the porcelain base.
Condition report:
The figurines are in excellent overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or professional repairs. Delicate protruding elements, including the folded fan (photo 1), the flower stem (photo 1), and the bonnet rim (photo 1), remain entirely intact. The glazed surfaces show no signs of scratching or dulling.
