A Spanish polychrome glazed porcelain figurine depicting a couple in a formal dance pose. The male figure is modelled in a grey tailcoat and light grey trousers, while the female figure wears a pale pink floor-length gown detailed with applied porcelain roses at the shoulders and waist. Both figures are depicted wearing white gloves. The underside of the base features a blue printed mark consisting of a bell-shaped symbol above the word LLADRO, followed by HAND MADE IN SPAIN and a copyright notice DAISA 1978. Several incised marks are present on the unglazed base, including C-17 MY, a character resembling a capital H, and a symbol resembling a stylized G. There is also a small impressed tulip-shaped mark. The design corresponds to model number 1372, known as Anniversary Waltz or Anniversary Dance.
Condition report:
The figurine is in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or professional repairs to the main bodies of the figures or the dress. The delicate applied porcelain roses appear to be largely intact (photo 1). There is a visible accumulation of surface dust and grime in the recessed areas of the gown and around the base (photo 1). The unglazed underside shows minor shelf wear and darkening to the foot rim (photo 2).
