Lot 162: Two Basler Women's Vintage Jackets comprising a Fuchsia Pink Wool-Blend Jacket and a Black and White Tweed Blazer
This lot comprises two vintage women’s jackets from the German fashion house Basler. The first garment is a collarless jacket in a vibrant fuchsia pink felted wool or wool-blend fabric, fully lined with a coordinating pink satin textile. The design features a round neckline, structured shoulders, and two symmetrical patch pockets with rounded corners. It is fastened by five small circular buttons and matching fabric loops at the centre front. A white fabric label is stitched at the interior neckline with the name BASLER in a larger font and HORST BASLER in a smaller font below. A black plastic hanger is present with a red circular adhesive label reading LARGE CHEST 104-109cm 41-43in. The second garment is a tailored blazer-style jacket in a black and white grid pattern tweed textile, lined with black fabric. It features traditional notched lapels and two horizontal welt pockets finished with black trim. The front closure consists of two white circular buttons at the waistline. A white fabric label at the interior neckline is printed with the names BASLER and HORST BASLER.
Condition report:
The pink jacket is in good vintage condition. There is minor surface fuzzing and pilling visible across the fabric, which is typical for felted wool textiles (photo 1). No significant stains, moth damage, or tears are observed. The black and white tweed jacket is in very good condition with no visible pulls in the weave, stains, or wear to the black trim (photo 2).
