An assortment of five pieces of ceramic tableware comprising a variety of forms and decorative finishes. The collection includes a large oval platter with a cream-coloured body, featuring a gilded rim decorated with a repetitive scroll and foliate pattern. A pair of circular cream-glazed plates is included, each featuring twin integral handles with relief-moulded floral and leaf motifs. The group is completed by a pair of circular earthenware plates with wide blue transfer-printed borders depicting a continuous vine of fruits, including grapes and apples or pears, set against a stippled background. No manufacturer backstamps or maker marks are visible on the pieces from the overhead view. A small white circular adhesive label printed with the number 4 is present on the rim of the oval platter. A rectangular orange adhesive label is affixed to the central well of one handled plate.
Condition report:
The blue transfer-printed plates exhibit distinct and widespread crazing to the glaze within the central white wells (photo 1). The oval platter shows visible rubbing and minor loss to the gilded border consistent with age and use (photo 1). The pair of handled plates shows scattered light surface marks and minor shelf wear. No significant chips, cracks, or professional repairs are apparent from the provided image.
