Lot 119: A Set of Twelve Clear Glass Tumblers with Enamelled Sporting Motifs and a Circular Glass Lid
A collection of clear glassware comprising twelve tumblers and a circular glass lid. The set includes six tall highball tumblers and six shorter lowball glasses. Each highball glass is decorated with a polychrome enamel transfer depicting a pheasant in flight, finished with a gold-gilded rim. The lowball glasses feature mixed decorative motifs: two match the pheasant design of the highball glasses, while four feature a stagecoach scene. The accompanying clear glass lid is circular in form with a recessed central area. One highball glass bears a white rectangular adhesive label reading 4. A second tumbler bears an orange rectangular adhesive label reading 119, and a third glass is marked with a plain orange adhesive label. No manufacturer names, signatures, or marks are readable on any of the pieces.
Condition report:
The glassware is in good overall condition with no visible chips or cracks. The gold-gilded rims show varying degrees of rubbing and thinning throughout the set (photo 1). The enamel transfers remain bright with minimal visible loss. All items show a light accumulation of surface dust.
