Lot 105: An Assortment of Decorative Clear Cut and Pressed Glassware
An assortment of decorative and functional clear glassware, primarily featuring pressed and cut designs. The lot includes a circular lidded preserve or butter dish with a diamond-cut pattern and pointed finial, a large circular footed bowl with a dense diamond-cut body, and a tall trumpet-shaped vase with a wide ruffled rim. Also present is a stack of circular glass plates or shallow bowls with scalloped rims and textured bases, a small glass decanter with a faceted stopper, and a glass cruet with a small handle and stopper. Further items include a pair of small heavy-based glasses with diamond-cut decoration, a large plain footed glass bowl, a hexagonal faceted glass, and a small fan-shaped dish. Two white glazed ceramic chamber pots are positioned in the background. The glassware exhibits various patterns including diamond point, hobnail, and radiating starburst designs to the bases. Three items bear orange adhesive stickers reading 105. Two items, the hexagonal glass and the lidded dish base, bear small white labels with the printed number 4. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible.
Condition report:
The collection is in good displayable condition but shows a significant accumulation of surface dust throughout (photo 1). The oil or vinegar cruet shows visible internal cloudiness and residue (photo 1). No major chips or cracks are visible to the rims or patterns in the overview.
