Lot 103: A Trio of Blue and White Enamelware Tableware Items
A set of white vitreous enamelware with blue rims, comprising a circular dinner plate, a side plate, and a mug. The items are fashioned from pressed metal with a white enamel finish and a contrasting dark blue border around the edges. A white square adhesive label bearing the printed number 4 and an orange rectangular adhesive label with the handwritten ink number 103 are attached to the upper surface of the side plate. No maker’s names or other identifying marks are visible.
Condition report:
The set exhibits significant wear consistent with extensive use as shown in the photograph. Multiple chips to the enamel coating are visible along the blue rims of both plates and the mug, as well as around the mug\'s handle attachments. The metal core is exposed in several areas, showing dark surface oxidation and rust. General surface staining, scratches, and light yellowing or discolouration are evident throughout all three pieces.
