Lot 534: Large contemporary crackle-glazed ceramic table lamp with woodland tree decoration
A large table lamp of flattened ovoid form, constructed from glazed ceramic and set on a black rectangular plinth base. The ceramic body features a cream-coloured surface with an all-over intentional crackle glaze, decorated with a stylized woodland landscape of slender trees and branches executed in slate blue and ochre. The lamp is fitted with a large, neutral-toned beige fabric drum shade and a black insulated power cable. An orange adhesive label is applied to the upper right shoulder of the ceramic body, bearing the handwritten characters 534. A small white adhesive label is present on the side of the black base, but the text is not legible. No other maker marks, signatures, or backstamps are visible. This item is sold as a decorative object and has not been PAT tested; it should be inspected by a qualified professional before electrical use.
Condition report:
The ceramic body features an intentional all-over crackle glaze (photo 2). The black base shows minor surface scuffing consistent with handling (photo 1). The fabric shade appears sound with light surface dust (photo 1). No chips, cracks, or restorations are visible to the ceramic components.
