Lot 357: Large rectangular wall mirror with a light oak effect frame
A large format rectangular wall mirror featuring a frame with a light oak effect finish. The frame is constructed with a stepped and moulded profile typical of late 20th-century functional design. The mirror plate is rectangular and held within the frame. There are no maker’s marks, labels, signatures, or country of origin marks visible on the front or side edges of the frame or on the mirror glass itself. A blue circular fire safety sign and a light switch are visible in the background environment but are not part of the item being catalogued.
Condition report:
The mirror glass appears to be in generally good condition with no evidence of silvering loss or foxing visible in the photograph (photo 1). There is a layer of surface dust, minor smudging, and light grime across the glass and frame throughout (photo 1). The frame shows light scuffs and minor wear to the corners and edges consistent with previous use (photo 1).
