A pair of resin elephant figurines. The primary subject is a juvenile elephant depicted in a playful seated pose with its trunk raised towards its forehead. This figurine is moulded with a highly detailed, wrinkled surface texture to simulate hide and is finished in a matte grey-green colour. The toenails are picked out in a cream-coloured pigment, and a teardrop-shaped indentation is visible below the left eye. An orange adhesive label is affixed to the elephant’s left ear, marked 2.80. A small white square adhesive label is located on the sole of the right hind foot, bearing the numeral 7. A second, larger elephant figurine is partially visible in the lower foreground, featuring a smooth, brown finish. No maker’s names, factory marks, or artist signatures are visible on the surfaces shown.
Condition report:
The figurines are in good overall condition. The textured grey-green elephant shows minor paint loss and light surface wear to the cream-coloured finish on the toenails. Adhesive residue may be present from the price and inventory labels. No chips, cracks, or repairs are visible in the photograph.
