Lot 133: A Seltmann Weiden Apple Blossom Pattern Porcelain Part Tea and Coffee Service
A part tea and coffee service manufactured by Seltmann Weiden of Bavaria, Germany. The service is crafted from white fine porcelain and features the Apple Blossom pattern, decorated with transfer-printed pink blossoms on brown branches with green foliage. Each piece is finished with a gilt rim and a scalloped edge. The collection includes a circular lidded serving dish with twin handles and a gold-toned spherical finial, multiple tea or coffee cups with C-scroll handles, and an assortment of plates and saucers. The underside of the pieces bears a green printed backstamp featuring a crown symbol above the script words Seltmann Weiden Bavaria and Made in Germany. A gold-stamped number 16 is present on the base of the cup shown.
Condition report:
The service is in good overall condition. There are two adhesive labels present on the lid of the serving dish. No major chips, cracks, or repairs are visible in the photographs. Prospective bidders should expect minor wear to the gilt rims and light surface scratches consistent with age and use.
