Lot 497: A Giuseppe Armani Christine by Valentino Porcelain Figurine and a Collection of Poodle Figurines
A Giuseppe Armani porcelain figurine titled Christine by Valentino, also known as Puppy Love, model number 0114F. The study depicts a standing woman with long blonde hair, wearing a textured grey coat and dark trousers, holding two grey poodles with a third white poodle at her feet. The figure stands on a stone-effect base and is mounted to an oval mahogany-effect wooden plinth with an inset gold-toned plaque inscribed Christine by Valentino. Accompanying the primary figure is a collection of approximately ten poodle-themed figurines of various sizes and poses. These additional pieces are finished in white and cream glazes or bisque ceramic, many featuring distinctive textured fur detailing. The collection is contained within a repurposed Singleton and Co cheesemakers cardboard carton.
Condition report:
The collection is in used condition with visible surface dust and grime. One centrally positioned white poodle figurine has a visible break and repair to a leg with brown-toned adhesive residue. The main Armani figurine appears to be in generally good condition. Minor nibbles or surface wear may be present on the delicate textured finishes of the smaller figurines.
