Lot 496: A Collection of Ceramic and Resin Poodle Figurines including The Leonardo Collection
A collection of decorative figurines primarily featuring poodles in an assortment of sizes, materials, and poses. The group includes a large white textured poodle figurine marked to the base for The Leonardo Collection, from the Rustic Dogs series and dated 2002. The lot features a mix of construction materials including glazed porcelain with high-gloss finishes, textured bisque-style ceramics with matte finishes, and cold-cast resin. One poodle is mounted on a wooden-effect base with a metal nameplate inscribed Poodle. The figurines display various clips, including Puppy and Continental styles, in colours ranging from white and tan to grey. The collection also includes a small white lamb figurine. Several items feature applied textured ceramic decoration to simulate fur, reminiscent of the spaghetti style.
Condition report:
The figurines are stored loose in a cardboard box, resulting in surface dust and grime throughout. The grey and white poodle figurine exhibits visible paint wear and rubbing to the raised surfaces. One textured white poodle shows signs of minor staining or discolouration. Due to the storage method, minor chips to the delicate textured fur details may be present.
