Lot 494: An Assortment of Decorative Ceramic and Glassware including a Belleek Parian Porcelain Figural Vase
An assortment of ceramic and glass decorative items, the primary piece being a Belleek parian porcelain figural vase modelled as a hand holding a tulip with a ruffled rim. The collection further includes a ceramic pitcher featuring floral transfer sprays and a gilt-trimmed rim, alongside a clear glass decanter with corresponding floral decoration. Additional ceramic wares comprise a dark-glazed tankard with a textured rope-twist handle, a plain white ceramic mug with a gilt rim, a small white bowl with a gilt edge, and a rectangular white ceramic tray. The glassware is rounded out by a clear glass bud vase featuring a diamond-moulded base and an elongated slender neck. Also included is a rough-cut grey stone base. The items primarily represent 20th-century decorative and domestic styles. No maker marks are clearly visible from the current perspective.
Condition report:
The collection is stored loosely within a cardboard box and exhibits general surface dust and signs of age and handling throughout. The ceramic pitcher shows minor wear to the gilt-trimmed rim. The dark-glazed tankard shows internal residue and surface marking. Given the unpacked nature of the lot, there is a risk of minor surface abrasions and small chips, although no significant structural cracks are visible from the overhead view. The Belleek vase appears intact but requires light cleaning.
