Lot 368: A Collection of Antique Brass Stair Rods and Associated Cast Brass Hardware
A collection of antique brass stair rods and an assortment of matching cast brass hardware. The rods are of extruded brass construction and the brackets are cast brass, featuring patterns characteristic of the Victorian and Edwardian periods. Included within the lot are two vintage cardboard boxes for Bayonet brand steel tacks, which are marked as made in England. The hardware box contains a variety of bracket designs and a single flower-shaped decorative boss.

Condition report:
The collection is in used vintage condition. The rods display varied surface conditions, including scratches, minor pitting, and differing levels of oxidation ranging from a bright finish to a dark bronze patina. The cast brass brackets show heavy tarnish, verdigris, and accumulated dust from long-term storage. The Bayonet tack boxes exhibit shelf wear and minor crushing. The completeness of bracket sets is not guaranteed as the items are unsorted.
