Buyer's Premium:

A collection of hardback and softback volumes primarily focused on British topography, regional history, and travel. The group includes Treasures of Britain, published by the Automobile Association (AA), featuring a black cloth binding with gilt lettering to the spine and the AA logo. Also present is Fitzroy Maclean’s To Caucasus with an illustrated blue spine, and The Illustrated Shepherd’s Life, a red cloth-bound work. A central item in the collection is The Beauty of the English Lakes, number 19 in The Homeland Illustrated series, published by The Homeland Association Ltd, London. The cover of this booklet features a monochrome illustration of Friar’s Crag with the artist’s monogram EMH and a printed price of 1/- net. Other titles visible in the stack include The Highlands and Islands, Discovering Britain, and a large maroon cloth-bound volume situated at the base.


Condition report:

The collection is in varied secondhand condition consistent with age and use. Hardcover spines show typical shelf wear, minor rubbing to the extremities, and light bumping to the corners. The Beauty of the English Lakes booklet exhibits some edge wear, minor creasing to the covers, and light surface soiling or foxing. The page blocks appear generally clean based on the visible edges, with light toning present. No evidence of major water damage or detached pages was observed.
