Lot 346: A Collection of Nippon Moriage Porcelain, Iridescent Glass
A collection of decorative objects featuring Nippon moriage porcelain, iridescent art glass. The group includes a black-glazed porcelain vessel decorated with a hand-painted scene of a bird among blossoming branches, accented by white relief-moulded moriage scrolls. Also included are two white porcelain jars decorated with green, gold, and orange foliate motifs, characteristic of Nippon hair receivers. Glassware consists of a ruffled green iridescent bowl and a spherical iridescent glass ornament. The lot is further comprised of an oval floral-patterned porcelain dish, a circular trinket box with a lithographed lid depicting lilies of the valley. Several items bear orange adhesive inventory labels with the handwritten number 346 and a white circular sticker marked 17. The porcelain demonstrates hand-painted decoration and raised enamel techniques.
Condition report:
The collection is in generally good condition with signs of age-related wear. Minor rubbing is present on the gilded highlights of the porcelain items and the rim of the black-glazed vessel. Surface dust is visible across the items. No chips, cracks, or evidence of restoration were observed during inspection.
