Lot 270: A Hokada G101 Classical Guitar and a Folding Music Stand
A full-sized classical acoustic guitar by Hokada, model number G101. The instrument features a light-coloured laminate wood soundboard decorated with a transfer pattern rosette around the soundhole. The back and sides are constructed from a dark reddish-brown laminate wood. The guitar is fitted with a dark-stained hardwood fingerboard and bridge. The slotted headstock has a decorative carved motif on the face and carries three-on-a-plate open-gear tuning machines with white plastic buttons. An interior paper label is visible through the soundhole and is inscribed HOKADA / MADE IN KOREA / MODEL NO. G101 / DISTRIBUTED BY / INTER MUSIC CO., LTD. The guitar is currently strung with nylon strings. Accompanying the guitar is a black-finished, folding metal music stand.
Condition report:
The guitar is in used condition. There are multiple adhesive labels attached to the soundboard and the music stand. General surface dust and minor scuffs or light scratches consistent with student use are present. The bridge appears firmly attached to the soundboard and the neck joint shows no signs of instability. No major structural cracks are visible in the top or sides. The nut and saddle are intact. String age and playability have not been tested.
