An assortment of earthenware tablewares comprising several circular plates and a large oval serving platter. The collection includes a blue and white transfer-printed plate featuring a scrolling floral and foliate border surrounding a plain centre. A second plate features the Willow pattern in underglaze blue. The large oval platter is decorated with overglaze polychrome floral sprigs and a gilt line to the rim. One plate in the group displays a yellow-glazed rim. Small white stickers numbered 6 6 are attached to the upper plate and platter, with an orange tag numbered 271 also present. No maker’s marks are visible.
Condition report:
The items show significant signs of age and use. There is prominent browning and staining to the glaze of the blue and white plates. Fine crazing is visible across several pieces. The large platter exhibits wear to the gilt rim and general surface grime is present. No large chips or cracks are visible on the upper surfaces.
