Lot 76: A Large Queen Anne Bone China Dinner and Tea Service
An English bone china dinner and tea service featuring a minimalist design of plain white glazed bodies finished with gilded rims. The service comprises a teapot with lid, multiple creamers and milk jugs, sugar bowls, teacups, and a large quantity of saucers, side plates, and dinner plates. The set also includes a salt and pepper shaker set. A backstamp is printed on the underside of the pieces consisting of a black crown symbol above the vertical text BONE CHINA, beside the name Queen Anne in red cursive script, with MADE IN ENGLAND printed in a downward arc below. The salt and pepper shakers feature small orange adhesive price or inventory labels.
Condition report:
The service appears in good used condition. The gilding on the rims remains largely bright across the collection, although some light surface soiling and shelf wear to the bases are visible (photo 1). No chips, cracks, or significant losses are evident in the provided overview.
