A lead crystal spirit decanter featuring a bulbous body and a matching facet-cut stopper. The clear glass is decorated with a complex multi-layered cutting pattern. The lower section of the body is worked with deep, interlocking strawberry diamond cuts which transition into an upper section of arched and fan-shaped motifs. The tapered neck is finished with vertical step-cutting and flat facet cuts, designed to hold the coordinating diamond-cut stopper. The underside of the base is plain and shows no visible etched maker’s marks or signatures. A small white rectangular label and an orange price sticker are present on the upper shoulder but are vendor markings rather than part of the manufacture.
Condition report:
The crystal is in good condition, exhibiting high clarity with no visible internal cloudiness or \'sick glass\' (photo 1). The cut edges remain crisp. There are no obvious chips, cracks, or large losses visible to the body, neck, or stopper. The ground surfaces of the stopper plug and the interior of the neck show light, expected wear from regular use.
