A collection of silver-plated table accessories presented in a hinged rectangular box with a textured white snakeskin-patterned exterior and a ruched red satin-lined interior. The collection includes a footed oval mustard pot featuring a hinged domed lid, a shell-form thumbpiece, and a scrolling handle, containing a cobalt blue glass liner and a small condiment spoon. Accompanying this is a matching footed oval salt cellar, also fitted with a cobalt blue glass liner. The set further contains a single baluster-form salt shaker standing on three feet with a pierced domed cap. Completing the group are four circular napkin rings decorated with a pierced geometric trellis pattern. The underside of the mustard pot and salt cellar show visible feet but no readable hallmarks or maker’s marks are discernible in the images. An orange rectangular adhesive label is visible on the inner lid of the presentation box, though its text is not legible.
Condition report:
The silver-plated components exhibit varying degrees of surface tarnish and oxidation, most notably on the interior of the napkin rings and the feet of the salt shaker and mustard pot (photo 1). The cobalt blue glass liners appear to be in good condition with no visible chips or cracks. The presentation box shows minor surface wear to the white exterior and some compression and light staining to the red satin lining. The set is mismatched, consisting of a single shaker, a pair of condiments, and four napkin rings.
