A yellow gold-toned necklace featuring a rope twist chain construction. The piece is secured with a spring ring clasp and includes two jump rings for closure. Condition report:
The necklace is in fair condition with visible signs of heavy wear and age. There is significant loss to the gold-coloured surface plating, particularly on the spring ring clasp and the jump rings, where the darker base metal is exposed (photo 2). The surface of the oval tag also shows pitting and oxidation (photo 2). The chain links appear dull throughout with surface grime and areas of tarnish consistent with regular use.
