Lot 559: A Pair of 9 Carat Yellow Gold and Diamond Rings Weight: 2.93g.
A two-piece jewellery set comprising a vintage-style diamond engagement ring and a matching diamond-set wedding band. The engagement ring features a trilogy design with three small round-cut diamonds held in white metal illusion settings, supported by a yellow gold band that tapers at the shoulders. The coordinated wedding band is contoured to fit the profile of the engagement ring and features a row of small bead-set round diamonds along the upper face. The interiors of the shanks bear marks which are not legible as specific characters or a maker’s name due to surface wear and resolution. An accompanying paper slip features a handwritten note reading 9K.

Condition report:
Both rings show signs of moderate wear consistent with age, including surface scratches and abrasions to the gold shanks (photo 1). There is an accumulation of dirt and residue around the stone settings and underneath the heads (photo 2). One band appears slightly misshapen and is no longer perfectly circular (photo 1). The diamonds appear secure in their settings but show minor surface reaching inclusions under magnification.
