Lot 544: An 18 Carat White Gold Ruby and Diamond Band Ring Weight: 4.91 g.
A contemporary 18 carat white gold band ring featuring a graduated row of five round faceted rubies. The stones exhibit a vibrant pinkish-red colour and are set within a central channel. This central row is bordered on both sides by two rows of small, round brilliant cut diamonds, which are grain set into the tapering shoulders of the band. The inner shank features several marks: an impressed mark reading 750, indicating 18 carat gold purity, and a separate stamped mark consisting of the characters GLD followed by two symbols that are not clearly legible.

Condition report:
The ring is in good used condition. The white gold shank shows light surface scratching and minor scuffing consistent with wear (photo 2). The gemstones appear secure in their settings. Under magnification, one ruby shows a minor surface-reaching inclusion or very small chip to the crown (photo 2).
