A large vintage statement pendant necklace featuring a central oval-faceted transparent yellow stone. The stone is held in a silvertone metal frame by multiple prongs. The ornate bale is decorated with scrolling wirework and set with three small cabochons: one circular red stone at the centre and two cream-coloured oval stones at the top and bottom. The pendant is suspended from a double-row, oval link chain with a textured finish, terminating in a spring ring clasp. The metal has a darkened, patinated finish. No hallmarks, fineness stamps, or maker’s marks are visible on the metal components. The item is accompanied by a grey suede-effect drawstring storage pouch.
Condition report:
The necklace is in good vintage condition. The central yellow stone displays an internal fracture or veil near the right-hand edge when viewed from the front (photo 2). There is minor surface wear and light tarnishing to the metal chain and pendant setting, consistent with the age of the piece (photo 1). The clasp is in functional condition.
