Lot 495: A Contemporary Scandinavian Style Pine Chest of Four Drawers
A contemporary chest of drawers constructed from solid pine with a clear honey-toned finish. The piece features a radiused top edge and four full-width drawers of equal depth. Each drawer front is designed with a raised rectangular panel and moulded edges, fitted with a single turned wooden knob handle in a matching finish. The construction exhibits prominent natural knotting throughout the primary surfaces. The drawer sides and interiors are composed of a lighter secondary timber or plywood. There are no visible maker marks, signatures, or labels on the exterior of the piece.
Condition report:
The chest is in good used condition. Minor surface indentations and light scratches are visible on the top surface, consistent with domestic use (photo 1). The wooden finish shows natural variations in grain and knotting. One lower drawer appears slightly misaligned or partially open in the primary photograph, but the hardware is complete and matches across all drawers. No significant structural damage or losses are observed.
