A floor lamp of solid oak construction featuring Art Deco design elements. The central column is square in section with fluted faces, accented by stepped geometric shoulders that transition to the upper pole. The lamp is supported by a substantial tiered square pedestal base with four block feet. It is fitted with a large, vintage-style fabric shade in a pale yellow hue, featuring a scalloped rim and a deep, two-tiered fringe of tassels. The lamp is equipped with a dark braided fabric power cord. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels were observed on the wooden structure or the shade. An orange adhesive sticker is present on the central column (photo 1).
Condition report:
The wooden column and base exhibit minor surface scuffs, small indentations, and light wear to the finish consistent with age and domestic use (photo 2). The fabric shade shows some minor sagging to the internal panels and a light accumulation of dust to the fringed tassels (photo 1). The electrical cord appears intact, but the item is sold as an untested decorative object; it must be inspected and PAT tested or rewired by a qualified professional before connection to a mains supply.
