Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

This lot features two bench-top workshop power tools finished in a seafoam green paint. The first item is a pillar drill press constructed with a cast metal head and base mounted on a cylindrical steel pillar. The motor housing bears a black and red adhesive label featuring the brand name PowerG Plus and the text Bench Drill Press 250W. The tool is equipped with a three-spoke feed handle featuring black plastic grips, a square cast-metal work table with four integrated mounting slots, and a hinged top cover housing the belt-drive system. A small orange adhesive sticker is present on the motor housing, and a brown cardboard tag is tied to the feed handles.

The second item is a double-ended bench grinder featuring a central motor housing with a black adhesive label reading B-TOOLTEC. The unit is fitted with two abrasive grinding wheels of varying grits, partially enclosed by metal guards. The base is cast metal with four mounting holes for bench attachment. A flexible gooseneck work light with a black plastic hooded shade is integrated into the top of the motor housing. The power cord terminates in a black UK 3-pin plug.

Condition report:

Both items exhibit significant signs of age and workshop use. The drill press shows extensive surface oxidation and pitting on the steel pillar and work table (photo 1). The green paint finish is chipped and abraded across both the head and base. The bench grinder shows heavy paint loss and surface corrosion on the motor housing and wheel guards (photo 2). The right-hand tool rest is present, but the left-hand rest and both transparent safety shields are missing (photo 2). The grinding wheels show visible wear and rounding to the edges. Both units are untested and, due to their age and condition, require a professional Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) safety check before any attempt to connect them to a power supply.
