Lot 438: A Clarke Metalworker 8 Inch Bench Grinder with Lamp and Manual
A bench-mounted metalworking power tool, comprising a teal-coloured metal motor housing and two grinding wheels. The unit is fitted with a flexible gooseneck work lamp positioned on the left side of the motor. Both grinding wheels are protected by adjustable transparent plastic eye shields and supported by steel tool rests. A red rocker power switch is located on the front panel. The motor housing features a large rectangular adhesive label printed in white, black, and red reading Clarke METALWORKER 8 inch (200mm) BENCH GRINDER WITH LAMP MODEL No: CBG8370L, followed by safety instructions, a warning, and a CE mark. A small orange adhesive price sticker is applied to the left of the main label reading 49.00. The item is accompanied by a paper instruction manual titled Clarke METALWORKER. The black power cable is wrapped around the base of the unit.
Condition report:
The grinder appears in used but complete condition. There is visible surface oxidation and rust on the steel tool rests and mounting nuts (photo 1). The grinding wheels show signs of abrasive wear consistent with use. Both plastic eye shields are intact but show light surface scratching. The paper manual has minor creasing to the edges. The mechanical and electrical functionality of the motor and lamp have not been tested.
