This lot comprises two distinct table lamps. The first lamp features a turned wood circular base with a light oak or beech finish, supporting a cream fabric lampshade. The shade is constructed with an asymmetrical, diagonal wrap-around scrunch design. It is fitted with a white electrical cable and a standard UK three-pin plug. The second lamp is a ceramic vessel of baluster form with a navy blue ground, decorated with polychrome floral panels and gilt cloud motifs. It is mounted onto a turned dark wood or stained circular base and features a conical navy blue fabric lampshade with vertical pleats. The underside of the ceramic base shows an impressed or printed mark and a handwritten character, but these are obscured by shadow and the angle of the photograph and are not legible as a name or specific maker. A small orange adhesive label is present on the cream lampshade.
Condition report:
The cream fabric lampshade shows slight deformation to the pleated wrap design (photo 1). The navy blue fabric lampshade shows significant surface dust and lint accumulation across the pleats (photo 2). The ceramic body of the second lamp appears intact without visible chips or cracks from the angles provided. The electrical components are of modern appearance; however, the wiring has not been tested and will require a professional PAT test before use.
