Lot 390: Two Metal Bird Feed Storage Tins
A pair of contemporary metal bird feed storage containers. The primary item is a cylindrical charcoal grey painted metal canister with a single side handle and a matching lid featuring a central handle. The body is decorated with a printed white graphic that reads Food for the Birds in script and Bird Feed Storage in smaller sans-serif block letters; the letter i in the word Birds is replaced with a silhouette of a small bird. The second item is a larger, flared white-painted metal container positioned as a base or companion bin, featuring a rolled rim and horizontal ribbing near the base. The interior and underside of the grey canister are not visible. No maker marks, stamps, or labels are present on the containers, although a small orange price sticker reading 390 is adhered to the rim of the white container.
Condition report:
The grey canister is in good used condition with surface dust and minor scuffs to the paint visible in the main image. The white container shows significant condition issues including extensive oxidation, surface rust, and paint loss concentrated along the upper rolled rim and interior surfaces (photo 1). There is visible accumulated dust and grime throughout both items consistent with outdoor or utility storage.
