Lot 378: A Collection of Assorted Precision Hand Tools in a Wooden Box
This lot comprises an assortment of small hand tools, primarily focused on electronics or jewellery work, including various pliers, cutters, and a screwdriver. The tools are constructed from steel with various dipped or textured ergonomic handles in red, blue, green, and black. The collection features several pairs of side cutters, needle-nose pliers, and end-cutting nippers. Included is a precision screwdriver featuring a black and red textured handle and a pair of fine-point metal tweezers.
One pair of black-handled pliers is marked on the insulation with the printed word Supertool. Another pair of cutters with red handles bears a metal stamp on the head that includes the characters S, L, E, and D, though the full name is not clearly legible. The tools are housed in a light-toned wooden storage box featuring a sliding lid. A blue adhesive label is present on the side of the wooden box, though the text on it is partially obscured and not fully legible.
Condition report:
The tools are in used condition with signs of wear consistent with workshop use. Visible surface oxidation and light rust are present on the metal jaws and joints of several tools, most notably on the red-handled cutters in the foreground (photo 1). The plastic and rubberised handles show typical scuffs and marking from handling. The wooden box is functional but exhibits surface scuffs and wear to the finish throughout. The mechanical working status of the individual tools has not been tested.
