A lot comprising two table lamps of contrasting styles. The first is a mid-century style ceramic table lamp featuring a conical base with a yellow glaze and a distinctive horizontal ribbed concentric ring design. It is fitted with a matching yellow pleated paper concertina-style shade. The second item is a traditional baluster-form table lamp constructed from turned wood with a dark polished finish. This lamp is paired with a cream-coloured fabric shade featuring a scalloped lower edge and a long fringe. The yellow lamp is wired with a white cord and a white plastic three-pin UK plug. The wooden lamp is also fitted with a white cord, though the plug is not clearly visible in the provided orientation. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels were observed on either base or shade.
Condition report:
Both lamps exhibit signs of age and use. The yellow pleated shade shows some creasing and light distortion to the paper pleats (photo 1). The ceramic base appears to be free of visible chips or cracks. The wooden lamp base shows surface dust and minor wear to the finish consistent with handling. The cream fabric shade has some tangling to the fringe (photo 1). Neither lamp has been tested for electrical safety; rewiring by a qualified professional is recommended before use.
